Connect Spendesk to ACD

Spendesk supports a native integration with ACD, allowing you to seamlessly export your payables and synchronize your accounting data.

To access this integration with ACD, you need us to grant you access beforehand. Please contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager.

Prerequisites:

  • Version of ACD must be version 23 or above;

  • You must have the product I-Suite Expert;

  • You must be an Account Owner or Controller in Spendesk.

Connection steps

Once you have the feature granted by Spendesk, you can switch integration on your Spendesk account, and proceed with the initial configuration on ACD.

Step 1 - Select integration on Spendesk

  1. Go to Spendesk and navigate to Settings > Accounting Setup and click Switch Integration.

  2. Choose ACD in the dropdown.

  3. Read through an explanation of what switching an accounting integration means and click Continue.

  4. Click Switch Integration.

Step 2 - Initial configuration on ACD

To enable the connection between Spendesk and ACD, you have to retrieve some key information on ACD.


1. Find your I-Suite Expert URL and connexion reference (CNX)


Step 1: Start DIA software.

Step 2: Go in the menu Configuration of i-Suite Expert parameters.(Administration > i-Suite Expert tool > Configure i-Suite Expert parameters)

Step 3: Copy and store the public URL of i-Suite Expert or Suite Expert.

Step 4: Copy and save the login and connexion reference (CNX). The text right before the '/'. (The default value is simply 'CNX')

2. Check if the accounting analytics is active

Step 1: Open Comptabilité Expert tool.

Step 2: Access your accounting file.

Step 3: In the tab Editions, check if the analytical split is enabled.

3. Check if accounting due dates need to be managed

Step 1: Open Comptabilité Expert tool.

Step 2: Access the accounting folder.

Step 3: In the tab Files, check if under the section Journals / entries, the schedule is configured.

4. Configure sharing parameters of your accounting software

Step 1: Open Comptabilité Expert tool.

Step 2: Access i-Suite Expert menu to open Sharing setting of i-Suite Expert folders.

Step 3: Tick all the boxes as shown on the screenshots to enable the integration with ACD.

Step 4: On the right side sub-section, select the journals in which the data should be sent to.

Step 3 - Connection flow to finalise setup

With the data retrieved from ACD, you can now continue the connection flow on Spendesk and connect to ACD.


Step 1: Choose a Name for your connection (for instance 'Spendesk').

Step 2: Enter your Suite Expert URL.

Step 3: Enter your connection reference (99% of cases this reference is simply 'CNX').

Step 4: Enter your ACD account username.

Step 5: If the analytic accounting field was mentioned, then cost accounting = 'active', else accounting analytics = 'inactive'.

Step 6: Define if due dates should be managed in the integration.

Step 7: Enter your ACD account password.

Step 8: Click on Connect to finalise the connection.

Final step is to select the accounting folder and submit to finalize the configuration.

Step 9: Select the accounting folder.

Step 10: Click Submit to finalise the configuration.

After a successful connection you will be redirected back to the Accounting Setup page on Spendesk where you will see the status of your connection. Your chart of accounts, tax codes, analytical fields and suppliers will be pulled from ACD in the background.
