How can I update a phone number in Spendesk?

My phone number changed, I need to update it.

In Spendesk, phone numbers are linked to sensitive account functions like 3D Secure (3DS) confirmations. For security reasons, employees must update their own phone numbers, as administrators are restricted from making these changes on behalf of others.

  • Admins Cannot Update Phone Numbers: Administrators cannot change collaborators’ phone numbers. Phone numbers are tied to personal accounts and sensitive authentication processes.

  • Self-Service for Collaborators: Only individual employees can update their phone number directly within Spendesk.

Follow these steps to update your phone number in Spendesk using the web or mobile app:

Method 1: From the Web App

  1. Log in to your Spendesk account.

  2. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner to access your profile menu.

  3. Select “My Profile.”

  4. Navigate to the “Security” tab.

  5. Locate the phone number field and click “Edit.”

  6. You will receive a unique link via email. Follow the link and the provided instructions to update your phone number.

  1. Open the Spendesk app on your mobile device.

Why Can’t Admins Change Phone Numbers?
