Steps to Close an Account
To close your account with Spendesk, please follow these steps:
Email your direct account manager at Spendesk or contact us via in-app chat at Spendesk support, and let us know the exact account or entity you'd like to close. Only the account owner is authorized to make this request for legal reasons.
We will ensure there are no pending transactions or funds remaining on your physical or virtual cards.
If your account has a positive remaining balance, you can submit your bank details through the platform to initiate a refund.
Once your account is emptied, we will proceed with closing it. All cards linked to the account will also be deactivated as part of the process.
Self-offboarding
Unfortunately, we do not offer an online option for closing a Spendesk wallet or subsidiary. This is because we need to confirm there are no pending transactions or funds remaining on the cards. This step is essential to ensure you are refunded the correct amount.
Only the account owner is permitted to make a closure request due to legal requirements.
What If My Account Is Empty?
If your account is already empty, you can request a refund for any remaining balance directly by entering your bank details within the platform. For other questions or assistance, feel free to log in here, or email support@spendesk.com.
Special Scenarios: TPL-Managed EUR Accounts
If your Spendesk account includes a former Bankable EUR account migrated to Transact Payments Limited (TPL):
The redemption of remaining funds is handled directly through TPL, rather than Spendesk.
To reclaim your balance, send an email to the TPL Redemptions Team, providing the appropriate provider identifiers associated with your account for processing.
