Before logging in, make sure you have downloaded the Spendesk app. Once the app is installed, you can log in using your regular desktop version credentials, which include your company email and password, or through Microsoft, Google, or SAML SSO.
Additionally, all users must utilize spendesk's mandatory Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), predominantly phone-based, to enhance account security.
If you encounter issues while attempting to log in, the troubleshooting steps in this guide can help diagnose and resolve common problems specific to your chosen login method.
If you're unable to log in and suspect that your account has been deleted or disabled, contact your account administrator for assistance.
Log in with Email and Password
Open the Spendesk app.
Enter the email address associated with your account.
Enter the password you set up during registration.
Click Sign In under the Spendesk logo.
If you experience issues despite entering the correct email and password, clear your app cache or try resetting your password.
Log in with Google
Open the Spendesk app.
Click Sign in with Google.
If prompted, click Continue to authorize Spendesk to use your Google account.
Choose the Google (Gmail) account you wish to use.
If prompted, enter your Google password.
Ensure you are signed into the appropriate Google account on your device before attempting to log in.
Log in with Microsoft
Open the Spendesk app.
Click Sign in with Microsoft.
If prompted, click Continue to authorize Spendesk to use your Microsoft account.
If necessary, enter your Spendesk/Microsoft email address.
Log in using your Microsoft password.
Ensure that your Microsoft account is correctly linked and active, and clear app cache if login issues persist.
Since Spendesk's 2FA is mandatory and relies strictly on phone-based authentication, ensure your mobile device is accessible for unlocking and validation processes.
Log in with SAML SSO
Open the Spendesk app.
Click Sign in with SAML SSO.
Enter your work email address.
Follow the prompts to complete the login process.
Additionally, if issues persist beyond resetting your security code, consider updating your registered phone number through the desktop profile settings as a resolution.
Contact your IT team if you face repeated issues logging in through SAML SSO, as the issue may require company-specific settings updates.
Mobile App: Entering a Security Code
Furthermore, to update your registered phone number, log into the desktop version of Spendesk, modify the details in your profile under the ‘Security’ section, and verify the change to avoid access hurdles.
If you're asked to enter a security code to unlock the app, this is typically the code used to unlock your mobile device. However, if you're prompted for a "security code", enter the 4-digit code you set up specifically for the Spendesk mobile app.
Additionally, make sure that the app is updated to the latest version, as outdated versions may cause issues with entering security codes.
For unresolved account-specific login issues, contact Spendesk support with details about the error message, login method, and whether you’re using mobile or desktop.
If you’ve forgotten your security code, click “Code forgotten” and follow the instructions in the email you receive. You can also reset your security code within the app:
Go to My Profile.
Click Security.
Select Change Security Code to update your code.
If you encounter issues with device registration, please uninstall and then reinstall the app.
