Spendesk supports a native integration with Microsoft Business Central, allowing you to seamlessly export your payables and synchronize your accounting data.
To access this integration with Microsoft Business Central, you need us to grant you access beforehand. Please contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager.
Prerequisites:
Version of Microsoft Business Central must be version 23 and above;
Online version is supported, not the on-premise;
You must be an Administrator in Microsoft Business Central;
You must be an Account Owner in Spendesk.
Connection steps
After a successful connection you will be redirected back to the Accounting Setup page on Spendesk where you will see the status of your connection. Your chart of accounts, tax codes, analytical plans and suppliers will be pulled from Microsoft Business Central in the background.

Go to Spendesk and navigate to Settings > Accounting Setup and click Switch Integration.
Choose MS Dynamics 365 Business Central in the dropdown.
Read through an explanation of what switching an accounting integration means and click Continue.
Click Switch Integration.
Then click Build connection.

You will be redirected to the Microsoft Dynamics login page to authenticate your account. If already connected, you will be redirected to the authorisation page.
You are redirected to this page to authorise the connection with Microsoft Business Central. A name for your connection is automatically generated, just click Authorise.
Select the environment, the company and the default analytical plan you would like to use, and click Submit.
After a successful connection you will be redirected back to the Accounting Setup page on Spendesk where you will see the status of your connection. Your chart of accounts, tax codes, analytical plans and suppliers will be pulled from Microsoft Business Central in the background.
Step 3 - Install an extension on Microsoft Business Central

You also need to install an extension from our technical partner Chift in order to get more capacities with this native integration. First navigate to the Chift extension page from the Microsoft AppSource store. Click Get it now and then confirm your details to continue.
You are then redirected to Microsoft Business Central to install the extension. Click Install. You will be redirected to Microsoft Business Central homepage.
The extension evolves over time to add new features for this native integration. To update the extension and benefit from the latest version you need to follow the steps in this article.
