Overview
Spendesk AI automatically learns from your historical payable bookkeeping patterns to automatically suggest the right fields when expenses are submitted - so that employees spend less time filling in forms and finance teams receive cleaner data from the start.
How it works
When an expense or invoice request is created, Spendesk extracts document details (e.g. date, amount, supplier) using OCR as usual.
Smart Request Predictions goes further by automatically suggesting fields that aren't on the document, like cost centre, expense category and any custom fields your company has configured.
Suggestions are based on how similar payables were categorised and prepared in the past. Employees see a suggestion, confirm or adjust it, and submit.
Availability
Available on desktop, iOS and Android for all expenses and invoices, including forwarded invoices and electronic invoices. Not yet available for card payments.
Good to know
No setup required: the feature is automatically enabled for your organisation
You're always in control: suggested field values are clearly marked to differentiate them from manually populated fields. You can review and change any field before submitting.
Works alongside existing rules: if a default cost centre or custom field value is configured for your employee or team, that default is always used instead of an AI suggestion. Smart Request Predictions fill in the gaps where no rule or default applies
Your suggestions improve over time: we automatically take any corrections into account to improve the predictions over time - the more your company uses Spendesk, the more accurate the predictios become
