Join Spendesk

Click on the invitation link provided or join via the email invitation sent to you. There are two ways to proceed:

  • Invitation Link: Use the link shared by your Administrator.

  • Email Invitation: Follow the steps outlined in the email you received.

Choose Your Login Method

Select how you want to log in to Spendesk. This will be your default login method:

  • Email + Password

  • Microsoft Connect

  • Google Authentication

  • SAML SSO (if available and activated for your company)

Important:

  • If you choose Google Authentication, for example, you’ll need to use it for all future logins.

  • If your company has enabled SAML SSO as the sole login method, no other option will be available.

Note: If you make a mistake while selecting your login method, don’t worry. This choice won’t appear on your profile, and your HR team won’t have visibility into this selection.

Set Up Your Profile

Once logged in, complete or update your profile information:

  1. Click on your avatar in the bottom left-hand corner of Spendesk.

    • Navigate to My Profile.

  2. Edit your information (e.g., name, phone number) to:

    • Enable the use of your physical card (if applicable). You’ll find it under Cards or Avatar > Physical Card if you are a Spendesk Administrator.

    • Ensure your last name is added. Without it, you won’t be able to generate a virtual card.

Tips:

  • Avoid using special characters or apostrophes, as they might interfere with card creation.

  • Add your bank information if your company uses reimbursement options such as XML SEPA files (SEPA network only) or Reimburse by Spendesk.

Additional Features

  • Link to Slack: If your company has enabled the Slack integration, connect your account to receive notifications directly on Slack.

Troubleshooting

  • If you encounter issues logging in, contact our support team by sending:

    • A brief screen recording of the issue.

    • A screenshot of the error message.

  • Email us at support@spendesk.com for assistance.

Note for Mobile Users

Currently, you cannot create an account directly from the mobile app. However, once your profile is set up, logging in via the app is seamless.

FAQ

Q: What happens if I accidentally choose the wrong login method? A: Don’t worry! The selection won’t affect your profile visibility, and you can restart the process to correct it.

Q: Can I use special characters in my name? A: It’s best to avoid special characters or apostrophes as they may cause issues with card creation.

Q: How do I enable Slack notifications? A: Go to your profile settings and link your Spendesk account to Slack if your company has enabled the integration.

Q: Is it possible to create an account on the mobile app? A: No, account creation must be done via the desktop version. However, you can log in to the mobile app after your profile is complete.
