FAQ
Before you start
Roles: An Account Owner or Admin must activate the integration and create the recurring card.
Perk account: You need an active Perk account with the instant payment option enabled.
Card type: Use a Spendesk recurring card. Physical or non-Spendesk cards (for example Amex) don't benefit from automated receipt collection.
💡 Tip: Set up one recurring card per employee, or one shared card for the whole team, depending on how much visibility you need over individual spending.

Log in to Perk and create a new payment profile with the instant payment option.

Benefits of the integration

No duplicated approval flows between Perk and Spendesk.
Export comprehensive travel spend data and run flexible cost analyses by employee, period, cost centre, analytical field, and more.
👥 Roles: Only Account Owners and Admins can activate the integration and create the recurring card used for Perk bookings.
Troubleshooting
Symptom: Receipts never sync automatically for payments made with a specific recurring card, even though the integration is active.
Cause: The recurring card was never linked to a payment profile in Perk. Without this link, Perk doesn't send the card details needed to match the payment, so no receipt gets attached.
Resolution:
Log in to Perk and navigate to Payment profiles.
Check that the affected recurring card is listed under the correct payment profile.
If the card is missing, add it to the payment profile.
New payments made after linking the card will sync automatically.
Contact Spendesk support to request a manual backfill for any past payments that failed to sync before the card was linked. Linking the card doesn't retroactively fix past payments.
Symptom: The browser freezes, crashes, or shows a spinner that never resolves when adding a Spendesk card to Perk during 3D Secure (3DS) verification.
Cause: A known interaction issue between the browser's 3DS verification step and certain browser extensions or configurations.
Resolution:
Open the Perk mobile app.
Add your Spendesk card to your Perk profile from the app.
Complete your trip booking afterwards from the Perk web app.
⚠️ Warning: If receipts fail to sync for several transactions in a row, check the payment profile link first before contacting support. This is the most common cause of missing receipts.
FAQ
Can I add more money to a recurring card?
Yes. You can top up a recurring card if the limit is reached.
Who can benefit from this integration?
Any company using Perk with instant payment and a Spendesk recurring card.
How does receipt collection work today?
The integration only retrieves receipts for Perk instant invoices. If your Perk invoice is monthly, the integration doesn't attach the receipt automatically, and you'll need to upload it manually.
What happens if my Perk payment profile isn't linked to my card?
Spendesk won't be able to match the payment to a card, so no receipt will sync. See the Troubleshooting section above.
