Sometimes, you might want to focus on a specific time window within your budget to analyze your team or company spend more precisely.
Spendesk lets you filter the budget view by period without affecting the underlying data.
How to select a specific period
You can apply a period filter from two places:
The main Budgets overview page (applies to all budgets at once)
Inside a specific budget (applies only to that budget)
To change the period, use the period selector and choose one of the following options:
Overall | All spend across the entire budget period |
Custom | A date range you define manually |
Once selected, the view will update to show only the spend and committed amounts for that period.
Important things to know
Session only: Your period selection is temporary. It only applies during your current session and resets to the default view (current month) the next time you log in.
Data is not affected: Changing the view period does not modify the underlying budget data or affect budget exports. Exports always include data for the full budget period.
Committed vs. used spend: Both committed (approved but not yet paid) and used (paid) spend are filtered according to the selected period.
