Activating your Spendesk card is quick and can be done via either the desktop web interface or the mobile app. This guide provides step-by-step instructions and troubleshooting tips to ensure a smooth activation process.

Activating Your Spendesk Card

Via Spendesk Web (Desktop):

  1. Log in to your Spendesk account.

  2. Navigate to the Card tab.

  3. Click on I received my card.

  4. Enter the required card details, usually the last four digits of your card.

  5. Once the activation is complete, you will gain access to your PIN.

Via Mobile App:

  1. Download and install the Spendesk mobile app.

  2. Log in with your credentials.

  3. Follow the guided steps to activate your card.

  4. Upon successful activation, you can:

    • View your PIN code.

    • Manage your card (e.g., block/unblock it).

    • Attach receipts to transactions.

Tips for Successful Activation

To ensure a smooth card activation process, consider the following:

  • Using the Correct Card: Double-check the details of your card (such as the last four digits) to ensure you are activating the correct one, especially if multiple cards have been issued.

  • Entity Selection: If your company operates across multiple entities, make sure you are on the correct entity within Spendesk during the activation process.

  • Location Independence: You don’t need to be in the same country as your Spendesk administrator or head office to activate your card successfully.

Important Notes

  • For your card's first transaction, use the PIN to enable contactless payments.

  • Using the Spendesk mobile app is highly recommended, as it allows for easier management and features like balance checking and receipt uploads.

Troubleshooting Activation Issues

If your card does not activate:

  1. Confirm you entered the correct card information.

  2. Ensure you are logged into the appropriate entity (for multi-entity companies).

  3. If problems persist, verify whether other cards have been issued to you, as only one card can remain active at a time.
