You can add both your virtual (recurring and multi-use) and physical Spendesk cards to the Google Wallet app on Android devices directly from the Spendesk mobile app.
Virtual cards are primarily intended for online purchases and cannot be used for contactless payments even if added to Google Wallet.
Please note this option isn't available for companies located in the US.
Additionally, Google Pay is only available for UK and EEA accounts, which should be considered when selecting a mobile wallet.
Virtual vs Physical Cards Overview
Spendesk offers both virtual and physical cards, each designed for specific use cases:
Virtual Cards: Best suited for online purchases and cannot be used for contactless or chip-and-PIN transitions.
Physical Cards: Appropriate for both online and in-person transactions, supporting contactless payments through mobile wallets once activated via a PIN-based payment.

Before you start, make sure you downloaded the Google Wallet app and updated the Spendesk mobile app to its latest version:

Click on Update.

To add your Spendesk VISA card to Google Pay:
Please note that virtual cards added to Google Pay cannot be used for in-person, contactless transactions as they lack the required physical payment capabilities.

From the tab menu, tap My Cards icon.
Select the card you want to add to your Google Wallet. You can add both your physical card and any virtual card.
Tap Add to Google Pay and follow the instructions.
After you add the card, the Card available in Google Pay label will appear.
Adding your Spendesk card through the Google Wallet app
Open your Google Wallet and click on "Add to Wallet".
Select the option “Payment card” to add a new Spendesk card.
Enter your Spendesk card number, expiration date and CVV number.
Read the Terms of Use and accept them.
You will then need to verify your identity by selecting either SMS message or e-mail verification.
Enter the code you received.
Your Spendesk card has been successfully added to your Google Wallet.
Paying with Spendesk cards from Google Wallet
Once you add your Spendesk physical card to Google Wallet, you can use it for in-person payments wherever you see either the contactless or Google Wallet symbols on the payment terminal or cash register. Virtual cards, however, cannot be used for contactless payments, as they do not support in-person payment functionalities.
To pay through Google Wallet after you have added your card, you don’t need to open the Spendesk mobile app - wake up your Android phone and hold it near the reader until you see a checkmark.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
