How to use your Spendesk card with Apple Pay

Add your physical or virtual Spendesk card to Apple Wallet on your iPhone or Apple Watch to pay with Apple Pay.

For: Cardholders with a physical Spendesk card, or a recurring or multi-use virtual card, in a country where Apple Pay is available.

Before you start

  • You need a physical Spendesk card, or a recurring or multi-use virtual card. Single-use virtual cards can't be added to Apple Wallet.

  • Install the latest version of the Spendesk mobile app.

  • Confirm Apple Pay is available in your country (see Non-eligible countries below).

  • Use a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch.

🔒 Access: Only physical cards and recurring or multi-use virtual cards support Apple Wallet. Single-use virtual cards aren't eligible.

Add your card to Apple Wallet on iPhone

  1. Open the Spendesk mobile app.

  2. Tap the My Cards icon from the tab menu.

  3. Select the card you want to add. You can add your physical card or any recurring or multi-use virtual card.

  4. Tap Add to Apple Wallet.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish adding the card.

Once added, the Added to Apple Wallet label appears next to the card in the app.

Add your card to Apple Wallet on Apple Watch

  1. Open the Spendesk mobile app.

  2. Tap the My Cards icon from the tab menu.

  3. Select the card you want to add.

  4. Select Apple Watch from the list of available devices.

  5. Tap Add to Apple Wallet.

  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish adding the card.

Add your card directly from Apple Wallet

If the Spendesk mobile app is installed on your iPhone:

  1. Open Apple Wallet on your iPhone.

  2. Tap the + (plus) button in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select Spendesk under From Apps on Your iPhone.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish adding the card.

If the Spendesk mobile app isn't installed, or you prefer to add the card manually:

  1. Select Debit or Credit Card under Available Cards.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your card details.

Expected result

Once your card is added, the Added to Apple Wallet label appears in the Spendesk app. You can now pay with Apple Pay wherever you see the contactless or Apple Pay symbol, typically shown on the payment terminal or cash register at checkout.

💡 Tip: Use physical or multi-use virtual cards for in-person, contactless purchases. Recurring virtual cards work best for online subscriptions.

Non-eligible countries

Apple Pay isn't available in:

  • United States

  • Bulgaria

  • Croatia

  • Romania

  • Cyprus

  • Iceland

  • Slovakia

  • Slovenia

  • Liechtenstein

Troubleshooting

Symptom: You get an error when trying to add your Spendesk card to Apple Wallet.
​Cause: Apple Pay isn't available in your country, or your Spendesk mobile app is outdated.
​Resolution: Check the Non-eligible countries list above. If your country is eligible, update the Spendesk app from the App Store, then try again.

Can I add a single-use virtual card to Apple Wallet?
No. Only physical cards and recurring or multi-use virtual cards are supported.

Can I use a virtual card added to Apple Wallet for in-person payments?
Yes. Recurring and multi-use virtual cards added to Apple Wallet work for both online purchases and in-person contactless payments.
