The "insurance/assistance" option is available for French, Luxembourg and Belgian accounts.

General questions

Death / disability coverage

You are covered in the event of death or permanent disability as a result of an accident occurring during a trip aboard public transport or a rental vehicle.

Beneficiaries of insurance cover

The cardholder (insured) and the beneficiaries listed in your Spendesk card Information Leaflet.

Specific cases (more information in the leaflet):

- one person may benefit from the insurance without being the cardholder when there are several people on a car rental contract paid for with the card

- in the event of death, the beneficiary is different from the cardholder

- spouses*, colleagues and children can benefit from assistance if they are traveling with the cardholder.

Travel companion coverage

The person is covered if the trip has been paid for by Spendesk card and that both are traveling together as part of a business trip.

Worldwide coverage

Coverage is acquired almost worldwide during a trip, make sure to check with your insurer before the trip if the region is covered.

Insurance benefits

You are covered for business travel in France and abroad (booking, transport, baggage). You also benefit from insurance cover for your business vehicle rentals and to guarantee the conformity of your purchases. Travel insurance

When and how to report a travel claim (cancellation, baggage, etc.)

Unless otherwise indicated, you must declare all claims for which you can claim compensation under the present contract within 20 days of their occurrence by telephone (+ 33 4 26 29 41 60). To find out all you need to know about how to make a claim, visit our dedicated article.

Travel partially paid by Spendesk card

You are covered for services paid for with your Spendesk card.

Example: you pay for your hotel via Spendesk, but your plane tickets by bank transfer.

In this case, you will not be covered by your trip cancellation, transport delay or baggage delay cover for your flight.

Cover for additional accommodation costs due to cancellation or delay of a return flight

Additional accommodation costs due to flight cancellation or delay are covered in accordance with the conditions set out in the notice.

Damaged hold baggage / suitcase

If baggage checked by the insured and placed under the responsibility of the common carrier is lost, stolen or destroyed in whole or in part, you will be compensated at the applicable refund value.

Baggage / suitcase damaged on the train

Luggage is not the responsibility of the common carrier on trains, and is therefore not covered by the warranty.

Reasons for trip cancellation

The reasons for cancellation of a trip are :

-Health accident

-Death,

-Loss of employment for you or your spouse*

-Loss of or change in vacation dates by your employer,

-Job transfer, travel assignment or expatriation imposed by your employer,

*Spouse

Either the spouse of the Policyholder who is not legally or de facto separated and not divorced, the person who lives with the Policyholder in a cohabiting relationship, the person who has entered into a valid Pacte Civil de Solidarité (Civil Solidarity Pact) with the Policyholder.

Proof of cohabitation will be provided by a certificate of notorious cohabitation issued prior to the date of the Claim. Proof of PACS (Pacte Civil de Solidarité) will be provided by a certificate issued by the clerk of the court of first instance issued prior to the date of the Claim.

Vehicle/rental insurance

Related car rental coverages

For equipped Spendesk cards, you are covered in the event of:

- Damage to the rental vehicle

- Theft of the rental vehicle

- Theft of luggage by break-in

Third-party liability coverage in the event of an accident with a vehicle (rented or not)

When you rent a vehicle, we recommend that you make sure you are covered for third-party liability.

Renting abroad and taking out rental company insurance

It is not necessary to subscribe to the rental company's insurance. You are covered worldwide during your trip, except through or to North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria or Crimea.

You are covered in the event of:

- Damage to the rental vehicle

- Theft of the rental vehicle

- Theft of luggage by break-in

Types of vehicles covered

Not all vehicles are covered. For example, vintage vehicles, heavy goods vehicles or vehicles with more than 8m3 of useful volume, motor homes, caravans or quads are not eligible for cover.

Problems with the rental car insurance offered by the rental company

Under no circumstances will the insurer be able to reimburse you for the amount of collision or damage insurance paid to the rental company if you have forgotten to decline it, or if it is automatically included in a package that you have accepted.

Insurance for my personal or company vehicle

Your card does not include insurance for your personal vehicle.

Purchase of goods / equipment

Coverage of goods purchased

Any new item of personal property with a purchase value in excess of €50 (incl. VAT) and financed in whole or in part with the Spendesk card during the warranty period is covered, with the exception of certain items listed in the manual.

Items purchased with the card (breakage/theft coverage for mobiles, tablets, etc.)

The purpose of the guarantee is to reimburse you, in accordance with the conditions described in the notice:

- in the event of theft of a guaranteed item, the purchase price (including tax) of that item;

- in the event of accidental damage to a guaranteed item.

Duration of purchase insurance cover

Coverage is provided when theft or accidental damage occurs within 45 days of the date of purchase or delivery of the insured item.
