Set up an automatic top-up
Click here to open the funding page.
Click the "Automated funding" tab.
Enter a minimum threshold amount.
Enter the amount to fund the wallet automatically when the threshold is reached.
Click "Set a $..... automated funding" to confirm.
Check your phone for a security code.
Enter the security code.
Click to validate the code.
Your wallet will now top up automatically instead of requiring a manual ACH transfer each time.
How the automatic top-up works
An automatic top-up triggers when your wallet balance drops below the threshold you defined. Check your current balance on the Dashboard or on the Wallet entry from the menu.
💡 Tip: Your balance must go above the threshold at least once after setup before the automatic top-up can trigger for the first time.
Example:
Your wallet has $8,000 available.
You set a threshold of $10,000.
The wallet must first go above $10,000 (for example, through a one-off manual top-up) before an ACH transfer is triggered the next time the balance drops below $10,000.
Delete an automatic top-up
Click here to open the funding page.
Click the "Automated funding" tab.
Select "Delete automatic debit".
Troubleshooting
Symptom: The "Automated funding" settings or the "Set a $..... automated funding" button are greyed out or unavailable.
Cause: Only Account Owners and Admins can manage automatic top-up. Controllers don't have this permission.
Resolution: Ask an Account Owner or Admin on your account to set up or edit the automatic top-up.
Symptom: Your wallet balance dropped below the threshold, but no ACH transfer was triggered.
Cause: Your balance may not have gone above the threshold since the last top-up, which is required to re-trigger the rule. It can also be caused by a temporary sync issue between Spendesk and the banking partner.
Resolution: Confirm your balance exceeded the threshold at least once since the last top-up. If it did and no transfer was triggered, contact Spendesk support so the team can investigate.
