4(d). Your VAT accounts: import, export, and configuration

This article covers the import of your Sage 100 VAT accounts into Spendesk, as well as configurations related to self-assessment.

Updated this week

The VAT accounts

The Spendesk <> Sage 100 integration allows you to retrieve your VAT accounts in the Settings > Accounting > VAT Accounts tab.

The retrieved VAT accounts are of the type "VAT" and "Deductible."

If you don't see an account that you expect to find, it’s probably because it’s not of the expected type.

We only retrieve certain "Collected" accounts when they are of type "CEE" because these accounts are typically used for self-assessment.

You can easily verify the type of an account in Sage 100 by going to Structure > Tax Rates and checking the settings of the relevant account.

Be particularly attentive to the fields:

  • Direction (Sens);

  • Tax type.

Self-assessment

To configure your self-assessment accounts, go to the page Settings > Accounting > VAT Accounts.

Click on "Add a self-assessment account."

You can then create a pair of self-assessment accounts by indicating which account will be debited and which account will be credited.

It is through the account name that you will call the pair of accounts during your accounting preparation, not through the name of one of the two accounts used.
